Panda3DS APK - The development of Panda3DS is still in its early phases. Some games boot up, and some don't. The majority of games have at least a few amusingly glitchy graphics, no support for audio, somewhat mediocre performance mostly from shader acceleration, and a dearth of QoL elements (such as a GUI).
Furthermore, not all games are compatible with the upstream code. Many of these may require that certain panics be commented out of the source code for them to function, etc. Still, it's encouraging that things can function as effectively as they do right now.
Why?
With programs like Mikage, Corgi3DS, an inventive LLE emulator, and Citra, which can provide an excellent gaming experience for the majority of the library's titles, the 3DS emulation market is already quite developed. But there's always space for other emulators! Although Panda3DS was at first only a curiosity, there are a variety of ideas I'd like to investigate with it in the future, including:
Virtualization. The debate over whether or not it is possible to achieve quick 3DS emulation on budget devices like the Raspberry Pi 4 by utilizing the KVM API served as the inspiration for the development of this emulator. Although virtualization isn't used to power Panda3DS at the time, it's a subject I want to investigate in the future.
Tools for modding, reverse engineering, and debugging. I got to learn the value of these kinds of tools when working with the other developers and contributing to PCSX-Redux. For modders, reverse engineers, homebrew developers, and emulator creators themselves, they can be invaluable resources. Certain instruments can even be entertaining toys that the average user can play with. Therefore, I believe they can significantly enhance the experience in a project such as this one. Naturally, I want to express my gratitude to @nicolasnoble and the whole Redux team for teaching me the importance of these technologies and pushing me to become a better programmer.
Experimenting with other special features, such as improved audio or visuals, or endorsing other specialized products, like amiibo.
Enjoyable. It's enjoyable to write code, and I highly recommend it to everyone.
Remember that these are all long-term strategies. Up until then, the primary goal is to simply increase compatibility.
